March for Babies is Almost Here!

Preemie Babies 101 is going to March for Babies this weekend!  I’m way excited.

Thanks everyone!  If you are not involved in your own local chapter of March for Babies, or if you have not donated to another team, this is a great opportunity to make a difference and pay forward the kindness and service shown you and your preemie in your time of need.

I hope that all of us who have been there and experienced the fear and unknown of giving birth to a premature baby will get involved in the efforts being made to increase awareness and prevent future premature births.

Afton Mower About Afton Mower

After Mower lost her firstborn son at 21 weeks.  Her daughter was born a year and a half later at 27 weeks.  The NICU was overwhelming and isolating and it was through those two experiences she was led to found this social hub for parents to find the support they needed. Afton also gave birth to another daughter, born two days overdue after four months of strict bedrest. She believes it is a tender experience to hold a special baby in your arms when his spirit returns to his heavenly home, a miracle to watch tiny babies survive the risks of prematurity and a blessing to hold a healthy full-term baby after months of difficulty and sacrifices.     Thanks to you for mentioning a way to give back, Team Roxy walked in our local march and raised almost $1,400 for the March of Dimes :)
