I delivered early because I was pregnant with triplets, but I have no idea why I went into labor early. I started having contractions and for some reason, the magnesium they gave me wasn't working. It just made them worse. But the doctor told me if I didn't stop having the contractions which which going up and down my back, every minute, then I would be going into labor. And all I could think about is, well, if I could stop the contractions, then I most definitely would. I didn't want to have my girls at 28w but it happened. And there was nothing I could do to prevent it.

I delivered early due to Preeclampsia that very quickly went to HELLP. I delivered our baby girl at 31 weeks. She came home at 35 weeks and is doing great! 3 months old this weekend! They told me I have a 40% chance of it happening again.

I'm just wondering what complications you all had that resulted in preterm labor & delivery? I went into early labor spontaneously and the only explanation we have come up with is that my mother had two preemies (out of 10 children). It's terrifying not really knowing why I have preemies or if I can really prevent it if I'm careful enough. How can I possibly decide if I can have more children?
