Happy Mother’s Day
Happy Mother’s Day to all you mothers who have endured and sacrificed so much for your tiny preemie babies during their difficult first months of life (and beyond, of course). It takes special dedication and love to care for a preemie, and many of you mothers put your own lives at risk just to get your babies here!
I hope you feel loved and appreciated on this special day and that you get to enjoy the smiles, giggles, and sweet “I love you’s” from your family.
I wanted to share a few of my favorite quotes about mothers:
“God could not be everywhere, and therefore he made mothers.”
– Jewish proverb
“Of all the rights of women, the greatest is to be a mother.”
– Lin Yutang

“For the hand that rocks the cradle – Is the hand that rules the world”
–William Ross Wallace
“It is not until you become a mother that your judgment slowly turns to compassion and understanding.”
–Erma Bombeck
“We know that birth takes a woman from one place in her life to another. The birth of a child certainly does change her viewpoint of herself and I believe her viewpoint of the world.”
–Sameerah Shareef
“The mother loves her child most divinely, not when she surrounds him with comfort and anticipates his wants, but when she resolutely holds him to the highest standards and is content with nothing less than his best.”
