Join us on Friday, February 21, 2014 from 11:30am-12:30pm CT on Hand to Hold’s Facebook Wall for our next chat, which will feature psychologist Patricia Stuart, PhD. During the chat, Dr. Stuart will be discussing the impacts of a NICU stay or loss on relationships and how to foster healthy communication between partners. Traumatic events or prolonged periods of stress can wreak havoc on a marriage, and sometimes it can even lead to divorce. Navigating the NICU is difficult and men and women grieve differently, so it is essential to a relationship that you have the tools necessary to effectively communicate your feelings and stresses to your loved ones. Even after the NICU, life can be stressful as you adapt to the changes in your family, but there is hope. Dr. Stuart’s professional insight will help you feel more confident in yourself and open the lines of communication with your loved ones. Connect with fellow parents in the same boat and learn that you aren’t alone. Got a question? Feel free to submit it via private message on our Facebook page. I hope you’ll join us!
