The Story of Alayna Marrie

Thoughtfully submitted by reader’s Marria and Raul.

Alayna Marrie was born at 32 weeks in Brandon,Fl., due to my preeclampsia.  All throughout my pregnancy she was a fighter.  I was in and out of the emergency room, for spotting, severe headaches, high blood pressure…till they had to hospitalize me at 30 weeks for preeclampsia and the goal was to keep me pregnant till she reached full term.  As you can see I only lasted 2 weeks.  Her heart rate and vitals stayed strong throughout the 36 hours of delivery, I was touch and go there for awhile so at the last minute I had a emergency c-section.

Eventhough, Alayna soared through the NICU and was released in only 2weeks, she then had a relapse and was admitted to St. Joesph Childrens Hospital with apnea and reflux.  We pray to God everyday our baby girl soars through this also.

My son was born just two days shy of 32 weeks, spent 4.5 weeks in the NICU, it’s amazing this little one got out so soon, but then, came right back.

As I said at the start, what that hospital did was wrong! Alice was no where near ready at “34″ weeks to go home! bad, BAD hospital!
